    Description

The Feinwerkbau Model 65 was the first real Olympic grade competition air pistol.  The mechanism uses a sliding system to virtually eliminate recoil until after the pellet has left the pistol.  This is a later model, with the barrel sleeve, and the rear sight notch is adjustable for width.
This one is in amazingly good cosmetic & mechanical condition, in its original packing box.  It has been fired, but certainly not much.   It comes with the original manual, including a test target.  It also includes a spare front sight, a spare breech seal,  the trigger adjusting tool, and a clamping device if you want to disable the recoiless feature.
I test fired a few times; the trigger is crisp, velocity sounded good, and it made nice clean holes in the target.  The 5 shot test target shows one hole, barely larger than a single pellet.
Full disclosure:  The pistol is about 50 years old.  The metal is all in great shape, but the plastic seals/buffers have aged.  I replaced the breech seal, which was beginning to fracture.  In the process, I noticed the bumper at the front of the breech is also chipped (see photo).  I suspect the inner piston buffer has also stiffened with age.  Because they were so well made, these pistols are still supported, and spare seals & parts are readily available.  If you plan to shoot it a lot, it would be a good idea to replace the breech bumper & piston buffer for maximum performance & longevity.  There are video instructions on-line if you are handy, otherwise there are repair shops that can do the work.  Airgunwerks in Tennessee lists a full overhaul for , plus parts cost.  Pilkington Competition also does good work, but they don't publish pricing.  Both have an excellent reputation.
